How much is cemetery property for my wife and me?
There are many memorial property alternatives available for either side by side or companion burial (double depth). Prices vary from less than $2000 for one person and less than $3000 for two persons to over $5000. Prices vary with the type of property selected, whether or not burial containers are included and where the memorial site is situated. Cash discounts, pre-development discounts and convenient terms are only available to those who plan ahead.
Why should I plan ahead?
At the time when someone passes away, there are a great many burdens placed on a family. There are family members to be tended to, phone calls to be made, selections to be made of funeral home and services, relatives to be put up in lodging, etc. But in spite of all those things that must be done, it is a time for the family to pull together, recognize and accept their loss, and celebrate the life that was lived. Having the memorial site already owned, and thus developed and available, eliminates concern over what is available, what would the family member have wanted, how much should be spent and where would the funds come from. It takes care of concerns the family should not be left to deal with.
I would like something special for my family…
There are a variety of memorial sites available at Green Hills Memorial Park that offer a more personal and private setting, such as courtyard areas with sidewalk access, shrubbery beds and year round flowers. There are walled estates to provide privacy and benches for convenience
Will my family be billed to maintain my cemetery property?
No. All the costs of maintaining the park including landscaping, physical structures and roadways, are covered by the Endowment Care Fund. All owners contribute to the Endowment Care Fund at the time of purchase.
What if cremation is my preference?
Cremation is a disposition of human remains that can occur before or after a funeral service. Many families are learning that choosing cremation does not limit their ability to have a lasting memorial site for their family members. Green Hills Memorial Park offers sites both above and below ground for those who choose cremation in a variety of beautiful locations.
